Australian visa applicants from Sylhet & Chittagong and respective adjoining areas can now take delivery of their documents from the VFS Sylhet & Chittagong office respectively against a nominal fee of Taka 300. The address is as below:

Apart from our office in Dhaka, Australian visa applicants from Bangladesh can lodge their applications in our offices at Sylhet and Chittagong also commencing 7th January, 2007.
Australian visa applicants from Sylhet & Chittagong and respective adjoining areas who lodge their applications at Dhaka can also take delivery of their documents from the VFS Sylhet & Chittagong office respectively against a nominal fee of Taka 300.
Applicants will be contacted by the Australian Visa Application centre, Dhaka only once their documents are ready for collection. A suitable time will be given to them and the clients are requested not to visit the VFS Sylhet or Chittagong office unless called to avoid inconvenience to both the parties and to ensure that documents are available for collection. Applicants need to produce their original invoice cum receipt for passport collection. Where the applicant is unable to collect their own documents, an authorised person can do so on their behalf. The authorised person will be required to present a letter of authorisation which includes both the applicants and authorised person`s signature. The authorised person will also be required to present photo ID, such as a passport or drivers licence, and the original invoice cum receipt.
There is no change in Australian immigration requirements and the decision-making process for the grant of Australian visas will remain with the Australian High Commission. All applications continue to be assessed on their merits in accordance with Australian legislation and policy.
The Australian Visa application Centre will accept applications, collect visa application charges and arrange interview times at the Australian High Commission.
Note: There is no change to the existing Australian policy regarding the lodgement of applications for entertainers, general skilled migration, parent migration and provisional entry to Australia on business skills grounds. These applications should continue to be lodged directly with the relevant processing office in Australia.
